Hey. My name is Eisha. (Pronounced “EYE-shuh.” Two syllables. Five letters. None of them are “L.”)

I was born in Nashville, TN. I have a BA in English Literature, and a MS in Library and Information Science. I’ve worked in libraries almost continuously since 1994 – most of them public, and often in children’s services. Now I work in a rare book library and archive, which I LOVE. I live in Ithaca, NY, and hang out with a lot of other library folk. I read a lot, listen to a fair bit of music, and watch t.v. and movies too. Sometimes I pay attention to current events. Um… what else? I’ve been a vegetarian (lacto-ovo) since I was 18. I’m a Leo, but I’m a late one and I think I have strong Virgo tendencies. I’m not sure I believe in astrology anyway. No kids, one dog, four plants. Turn-ons include extreme weather, smart/kind/funny people, boots, creative profanity, and sock monkeys. Turn-offs include narrow-mindedness, deadlines, and whining.

Also, here’s the best picture of me ever taken:

I know, right? And here’s the second-best:

Um. The end.
